finetuned was established in 2005 by artists who maintain an engagement with sound oriented work both curatorially and in their own practice.

We believe that there is a need for organisations that work contrary to the incorporation model of curation. This is not to say that these organisations don’t already exist - Vibro, Avanto et al. and a whole host of labels releasing works by sound artists – but that more organisations sustaining a 'deeper' level of engagement are required in the curatoral field.

Currently we are involved in the commissioning and exhibition of works by artists that manifest a particular engagement with sound.
